Ty + Nadine’s engagement session was so laid back and easy going. We shot a few images at Nadine’s childhood church, which is also where they’ll say their vows a couple months from now, before we headed out to their favorite spot in the woods. While we were walking around Ty mentions his pet goat from when he was little was burried out there somewhere. I thought wow this place has a lot of meanig to them. Esepcially since he had been going out there since he was a child. He started talking about his goat and shared about when he learned it died. Ty remembered it was the middle of winter, he was 6 or 7 at the time and his dad felt so bad he just couldn’t bear to tell him his beloved goat has passed. The goat had frozen standing up in the yard. Ty’s father took this unfortunate opportunity to delay delivering the bad news. Over the next few days he’d move the goat around the yard in various places so it would appear that it was still alive! Oh the things parents do to protect their children’s hearts!
I love the time I get to spend with my couples during their engagment session. It gives me the opportunity to learn more about them and their relationship while photographing their story. So whether I’m your wedding photographer or not, I highly encourage you to take advantage of the complitmentary engagement session offered with your collection.
Thanks for sharing with me Ty + Nadine! I can’t wait to spend your wedding day with you!
